Qatar provides Ukraine with $100 mln in humanitarian support

MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - Qatar will provide Ukraine with $100 million for reconstruction in healthcare, education, humanitarian demining, and other important social and humanitarian projects, Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani said while meeting with Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal on Friday.

"During the meeting, we also mentioned the importance of reinstating the Black Sea Grain Initiative and the need for continuing the implementation of the Grain from Ukraine initiative," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying on social media.

The parties also agreed to interact closely under the joint intergovernmental commission for economic, trade, and technical cooperation and "set up other specialized working groups and commissions to address issues in various fields, from high technology and digitalization to supplies of drinking water to Ukrainian regions where this is necessary," Shmygal said.
