Some 3,000 households in Kharkov region left without electricity due to adverse weather

MOSCOW. July 28 (Interfax) - Torrential rains and strong winds have disrupted power supply to towns and villages in five districts of Ukraine's Kharkov region that are serviced by JSC Kharkovoblenergo network operator.

"About 3,000 households remained without electricity as of the morning on July 28," Ukrainian media said, citing the Kharkovoblenergo press service.

Repairs are ongoing, it said.

"The main cause of the disruption to electricity supply is that branches and trees fell on power lines. Repairs are continuing. There may be additional power cuts to facilitate the repairs," the press service said.

Power supply to the affected parts of the Kharkov region is expected to be restored before the end of Friday.
