Putin sees prospects for cooperation with Mozambique in energy, technology, agriculture, fishing industries

ST. PETERSBURG. July 27 (Interfax) - Russia sees good prospects for cooperation with Mozambique in energy, technology, fishing, and agriculture, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

"We note good prospects [for cooperation] in the areas of gas production, geological prospecting, electric energy, agriculture, and fishing," Putin said while meeting with Mozambican President Filipe Jacinto Nyusi in St. Petersburg on Thursday.

Russia and Mozambique plan to sign bilateral documents in the intellectual property, geology, fishing, and innovation sectors on the sidelines of the Russia-Africa summit in St. Petersburg, he said.

Putin pointed out that trade between the two countries grew by 14.5% in 2022 and by 35% in January-April 2023.
