Twelve countries more join G7 declaration in support of Ukraine - Kiev

MOSCOW. July 27 (Interfax) - Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President's Office Igor Zhovkva met with Japanese Ambassador in Kiev Kuninori Matsuda and thanked Tokyo for its key role in the adoption of the G7 countries' joint declaration in support of Ukraine, Ukrainian media said, citing the presidential press service.

"Twelve new countries have officially joined the Joint Declaration of support for Ukraine since it was adopted two weeks ago, and their number will continue to grow," Zhovkva said.

The G7 joint declaration "has become the foundation for creating a system of effective security guarantees for Ukraine as it moves toward membership in NATO," he said.

"The parties agreed to continue to coordinate joint efforts," the presidential press service said.
