Ukrainian FM visits Liberia
MOSCOW. July 27 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, who is currently on a tour of African countries, visited Liberia, where he met with President George Weah and Foreign Minister Dee-Maxwell Kemaya, Ukrainian media said, citing information circulated by Ukraine's Foreign Ministry.
It was the first visit by a Ukrainian foreign minister to Liberia, the ministry said.
"The Liberian minister expressed support for the steps being taken by Ukraine to safeguard the sea export of Ukrainian grain from Ukrainian ports," it said.
The parties also discussed ways to further develop cooperation between Ukraine and Liberia in trade, construction, healthcare, and education.
During his visit, Kuleba attended festivities on the occasion of the 176th anniversary of Liberia's independence.
