PhosAgro mulls building port facilities in northwest Russia

ST. PETERSBURG. July 27 (Interfax) - PhosAgro is considering building its own port facilities in northwest Russia, the Russian fertilizer producer's deputy CEO for sales, marketing and logistics, Mikhail Sterkin told reporters.

"We are now loading out of five ports. There are plans to, perhaps, build our own port facilities in the long term [...] We are currently at the research stage. We feel comfortable at this point, we don't have a shortage of port capacity," Sterkin said.

The potential future facilities could be located in the "northwest, maybe Murmansk," he said, adding that the company is "considering several locations." PhosAgro's mining operations are located in Murmansk Region.
