MOSCOW. July 26 (Interfax) - A number of donor countries will allocate $244 million for Ukraine to procure special equipment for its humanitarian demining needs, Ukrainian First Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yulia Sviridenko said.

"Our donors, including the United States, the European Union, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, Norway, Sweden, Italy, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Denmark, Canada, Austria, Switzerland, South Korea, and the Howard Buffett Foundation, will together provide Ukraine with more than $244 million for its humanitarian demining needs," Ukrainian media outlets quoted Sviridenko as saying on social media.

Foreign partners are expected to send the equipment to Ukraine before the end of the year, including ten demining machines from Croatian company DOK-ING and ten machines more from Global Clearance Solutions, she said. The batch will also include up to 200 pyrotechnic machines, over 600 metal detectors, 50 exploders, as well as individual demining kits, bomb suits, quadcopters, and ammunition disposal robotic systems.
