PwC to audit Naftogaz financials for 2023-2024

MOSCOW. July 26 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Cabinet on Tuesday appointed local PricewaterhouseCoopers subsidiary PricewaterhouseCoopers (Audit) LLC as auditor of the financial statements of state oil and gas company Naftogaz Ukraine, Ukrainian media reported, citing a statement from the Economy Ministry.

"The firm will carry out the mandatory audit of NAK Naftogaz Ukraine's financial statements in 2023-2024. [Naftogaz's] supervisory board recommended that this firm be confirmed as the auditing entity to provide auditing services," the press release said.

Ukraine's Cabinet also selected PricewaterhouseCoopers (Audit) to audit Naftogaz's financials for 2021-2022 following a public auction in the ProZorro system. Payment for the company's services totalled UAH54.15 million.

The Cabinet also appointed PricewaterhouseCoopers (Audit) the auditor of Energoatom's financials for 2021-2023 after the firm won the tender for this contract in the ProZorro system with a bid of UAH27.99 million.

The official exchange rate was UAH36.57/$1 on July 25.
