BelAZ expects to increase machinery exports to Russia by almost 40% in 2023

MINSK. July 24 (Interfax) - BelAZ could increase exports to Russia by almost 40% this year, the Belarusian heavy machinery maker's CEO, Sergei Nikiforovich said.

"If you take all of the Russian Federation, our machinery sales this year are up 38% compared to last year," Nikiforovich was quoted as saying by the company's press service.

It was reported earlier that BelAZ's exports exceeded $1 billion in 2022, with Russia accounting for more than $800 million. BelAZ deputy CEO for marketing and export policy Vasily Shostak said the company exported 866 mine dump trucks with various capacity, specialized equipment and machinery for underground work to Russia last year.

BelAZ increased its share of the Russian market for super heavy duty dump trucks to more than 80% in 2022, the highest figure in seven years. The leading sellers were trucks with capacity of 90, 110-130 and 220-240 tonnes.
