S. Africa plans to send two female astronauts to ISS in next few years

HARTEBEESTHOEK, South Africa. July 24 (Interfax) - South Africa plans to send two female astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS), South African National Space Agency CEO Humbulani Mudau said during talks with Roscosmos General Director Yury Borisov.

Roscosmos earlier facilitated a mission to the ISS by the UAE first astronaut Hazza Al Mansouri. A Belarusian female cosmonaut is expected to fly to the ISS aboard Russia's Soyuz MS-25 spacecraft in March 2024.
