Joint Coordination Center in Istanbul ceases operations - Russian Foreign Ministry

MOSCOW. July 20 (Interfax) - The Joint Coordination Center (JCC) in Istanbul has ceased its work, Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova said.

"Well, we've said already that [the JCC] has concluded its work. It's concluded its work. I have the details of how it was concluding it, but I don't have anything that I could share with you. Indeed, it has concluded its work, to the obvious extreme discontent of some of its participants," Zakharova said at a press briefing on Thursday.

Turkish media said earlier that the Russian delegation left the JCC in Istanbul.

The Foreign Ministry said on Monday that the termination of the Black Sea grain deal meant revoking navigation safety guarantees, phasing out the maritime humanitarian corridor, and closing the JCC in Istanbul.
