Indian investor to build 3.5 bln ruble dairy processing complex in Ryazan Region

RYAZAN. July 19 (Interfax) - NEK Dairy Private Limited will build a dairy processing complex with a processing capacity of 100 tonnes per day in the Ryazan Region, Interfax was told at the Ryazan Region Development Corporation, citing Artem Nikitin, deputy chairman of the regional government.

The cooperation agreement was signed on Wednesday by the CEO of the corporation Vyacheslav Nesin and the founder of the investing company Subrata Bhattacharya.

The total investment will amount to 3.5 billion rubles. The investment project will create about 160 new jobs.

The product line will include dairy products and lactoferrin. The project is being implemented in two stages. The first stage will start this year and end in 2025, the second will take place in 2026-2027.

"An agreement of intent on the implementation of this project was signed earlier by Governor Pavel Malkov and the founder of the company Subrata Bhattacharya. Today, a partnership document was officially confirmed that consolidated the agreements reached earlier and formally launched the project," Nikitin noted. "During the time between these events, the development corporation selected the best option for the site for the investor with the necessary infrastructure for localization. Pre-project development was started to clarify the technical possibilities for connections and building areas.

NEK Nestors Industries Private Limited, according to the SPARK-Interfax analytical system, was registered on August 19, 2022 in the Alexander Nevsky district of the Ryazan region. The charter capital is 100,000 rubles. The co-owners of the company are Indian citizens Subrata Bhattacharya (34%), Prashant Jalan and Anandi Ezung (33% each).
