Armenian General Staff chief discusses military cooperation, joint activities at meeting in Washington

YEREVAN. July 19 (Interfax) - Armenian General Staff Chief Lieut. Gen. Edward Asryan and Vice Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Christopher Grady have discussed cooperation between the two countries' air forces at a meeting in Washington.

"During his working visit to the U.S., Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces and First Deputy Defense Minister Lieut. Gen. Edward Asryan met with Vice Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff Adm. Christopher Grady and Chief of Staff of the U.S. Air Force Charles Brown," the Armenian Defense Ministry's press service said.

At their meeting, the parties discussed defense cooperation, joint activities, regional security and "opportunities for broader cooperation between the [countries'] air forces," it said.
