Polisan delivers first shipment of its medicines to Indonesia

ST. PETERSBURG. July 18 (Interfax) - Pharmaceutical company Polisan LLC has delivered the first shipment of its medicines to Indonesia, Interfax was told by the company's press service.

The first shipment consists of 24,000 bottles of isotonic solution with antihypoxic and antioxidant effects.

This is the first stage toward establishing long-term cooperation with its Indonesian partners and securing the pharmaceutical manufacturer's place on the Indonesian market, the press service said. The company also plans to promote a solution on the Indonesian market which improves coronary and cerebral blood flow. Registration of this drug with the Indonesian Ministry of Health was received in April 2022.

As reported, Polisan has been implementing an export development strategy focused on the markets of Southeast Asia and the Middle East for nearly 20 years.

Polisan is engaged in the development and production of medicines, and has two pharmaceutical factories, one for the production of medicines in St. Petersburg, and a second which produces active pharmaceutical substances in Belgorod (Polisintez). The Belgorod plant ensures the safety of raw materials for the parent company.

In total, Polisan produces four original drugs: an antiviral, immunomodulatory, and anti-inflammatory drug, a drug for the treatment of brain dysfunction and restoration of cerebral circulation, a drug for the prevention of exogenous and endogenous intoxications, and a medicine for the complex treatment of the liver. The output of the St. Petersburg plant is over 30 million packages of medicines per year.

According to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, the co-owners of Polisan are Alexander Borisov (53.88%) and Alexei Kovalenko (46.12%).
