Agricultural output in Belarus up 2.7% in H1

MINSK. July 17 (Interfax) - Output by farms of all categories in Belarus rose 2.7% year-on-year in January-June 2023 to 10.4 billion Belarusian rubles, national statistical committee Belstat said.

Agricultural organizations raised output 3% to 10.2 billion rubles.

Output of cattle and poultry in live weight at farms of all categories totaled 891,500 tonnes, up 3.8% year-on-year, and milk - 4.1 million tonnes, up 5.6%. Agricultural organizations produced 868,100 tonnes of cattle and poultry, up 4.2%, and 3.035 million tonnes of milk, up 5.9%.

The cattle population at agricultural organizations was 4.2 million as of July 1, up 1.2% from a year previously, including 1.4 million cows, up 0.1%. Farms had 2.3 million pigs, up 0.7%.

Agricultural output in Belarus rose 3.6% in 2022.
