Ukrainian govt sets up interagency working group to draft plan for implementing European reforms

MOSCOW. July 17 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian cabinet of ministers has set up an interagency working group on drawing up an action plan for implementing a program of European reforms and transformations, Prime Minister Denis Shmygal said.

"We've already started preparing for next year. Actively working with partners, primarily the EU, the G7 countries, and international financial organizations. The EU is launching a four-year 50-billion-euro program, which, in particular, is designed to help finance the budget deficit," Ukrainian media quoted Shmygal as saying at a government meeting last Friday.

The program called Ukraine Facility should also help implement a program of European reforms and transformations, he said.

"For the program to work efficiently, we're setting up an interagency working group for drafting a relevant action plan. This is important for our transformation and readiness to quickly join the European Union," he said.
