Ukrainian FM says not completely satisfied with outcomes of NATO Vilnius summit

MOSCOW. July 14 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba has said he is satisfied with the outcomes of the NATO summit in Vilnius on the whole, but not completely.

"I am not satisfied with just one point: the summit's communique doesn't say clearly that either Ukraine is invited to become a member, or Ukraine will be invited to become a member, for instance, tomorrow," Ukrainian media quoted Kuleba as saying in an interview with the ICTV television channel.

"What was important at that summit is not only what is in the texts, in the official decisions and statements, but also what happened behind the scenes," he said.

"A psychological obstacle was overcome [in Vilnius], and Ukraine is really seen as a NATO member now," Kuleba said.

"But it's too bad that they failed to make a quantum jump," he said.
