Government of Kazakhstan allows commercial banks to export Russian rubles until end of 2023

ASTANA. July 13 (Interfax) - The government of Kazakhstan adopted a resolution allowing second-tier commercial banks to export Russian rubles in cash from the republic.

The Resolution "On Certain Issues of Ensuring the Financial Stability of the Republic of Kazakhstan," published in the information and legal system of regulatory legal acts, entered into force on July 11 and will be valid until January 1, 2024.

The Ministry of Finance, together with the National Security Committee of the country, was instructed to take the necessary measures to implement the resolution.

As previously explained in the country's National Bank, the permit is being introduced for the conversion of cash rubles into non-cash form and the replenishment of correspondent accounts by banks.
