Kyrgyzstan exports 1.7 tonnes of gold worth $109 mln in Jan-May
BISHKEK. July 13. (Interfax) - Kyrgyzstan exported 1.7 tonnes of gold in January-May 2023, the country's National Statistics Committee said.
"In January-May, gold exports totaled 1,716 kg worth $109,191,000," the National Statistical Committee's bulletin says.
Kyrgyzstan sold most of this volume, 1.2 tonnes, to Switzerland for $78.223 million. The UAE purchased 335 kg for $21.268 million, and Hong Kong bought 167 kg for $9.698 million.
At the same time, Kyrgyzstan bought 177 kg of gold from Kazakhstan for 912 million som, or $10.3 million.
