Pashinyan to meet with Aliyev, Michel in Brussels on Sat

YEREVAN. July 13 (Interfax) - Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has announced a pending meeting with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and European Council President Charles Michel in Brussels on July 15.

"My meeting with the presidents of the European Council and Azerbaijan is scheduled to take place in Brussels on Saturday, July 15. I have confirmed my participation in this meeting," Pashinyan said at a government meeting on Thursday.

Hopefully, progress at negotiations on a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be affirmed at the meeting, he said.

The meeting of Pashinyan, Aliyev and Michel in Brussels was initially planned for July 21.

Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan said on Wednesday that the meeting would be held a little earlier.

Pashinyan said at a government meeting in early July that the text of a peace agreement between Yerevan and Baku was not ready for signing.

"I hope to bring everything positive recorded in Washington into the substantive field at the upcoming meeting in Brussels. We should resolve every problem with diplomatic methods," Pashinyan said then.
