Ozon to launch 8-bln-ruble logistics complex in Saratov in 2024

MOSCOW. July 12 (Interfax) - Ozon has agreed to invest eight billion rubles in order to construct a logistics complex in Saratov, and the company on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement with the Saratov Region government, according to which there are plans to implement the project, Ozon said in a statement.

Ozon expects to launch the 80,000-sqm logistics center in 2024, which should create at least 2,000 new jobs. The company anticipates investing two billion rubles in order to purchase logistics equipment.

Ozon currently presents over 2,000 sellers from the Saratov Region, whose numbers have quadrupled since 2021, with turnover of two billion rubles in 2022.

Ozon also currently has a sorting center in Saratov with 100 employees.
