Russia consents to Turkmenistan's joining agreement on Int'l North-South Transport Corridor

MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - Russia has consented to Turkmenistan's joining the agreement on the International North-South Transport Corridor signed in St. Petersburg on September 12, 2000.

The relevant decree was published on the legal information website.

According to the decree, the government of Russia has accepted the proposal of the Russian Transport Ministry, coordinated with the Foreign Ministry and other interested agencies, to express consent to Turkmenistan's joining this project. The Russian Foreign Ministry must notify Iran as the depositary of the aforementioned agreement about Russia's consent to Turkmenistan's joining it.
