Ukraine's Nova Post launches delivery services to 2,700 partner parcel lockers in Czech Republic

MOSCOW. July 11 (Interfax) - The Nova Post (Nova Poshta) group of companies, a Ukrainian private postal and logistics operator, has launched the delivery services of documents and parcels weighing up to 10 kilograms to 2,700 partner automated parcel lockers AlzaBox and GLS delivery points throughout the Czech Republic, Ukrainian media reported on Tuesday, citing the company's press service.

"We are grateful to GLS and Alza partners for their rapid integration and focusing on meeting the needs of users. From now on, Ukrainians living throughout the Czech Republic, in addition to Nova Post offices and address delivery, have access to over 2,700 partner automated parcel lockers and delivery points," the statement quoted CEO of Nova Post in the Czech Republic Vladimir Sterenchuk as saying.

The maximum size of a parcel to the automated parcel locker is 50x50x50 centimeters, to the delivery point - 100x50x50 centimeters.

The cost of delivery from Ukraine to the Czech Republic to GLS delivery points and AlzaBox automated parcel lockers remains at the level of tariff for delivery to a Nova Post office in the Czech Republic: documents - 250 UAH, parcels up to two kilos - 400 UAH, parcels up to 10 kilos - 600 UAH.

At the same time, the cost of delivery of documents between various cities in the Czech Republic is 60 CZK (about 102 UAH at the current exchange rate), parcels up to two kilos - 70 CZK, parcels up to 10 kilos - 110 CZK.

As reported, Nova Post has opened two outlets in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic, since early June: the first with the capacity to send packages weighing up to 1,000 kilos, the second - up to 30 kilos.
