G7 to draw up declaration on security guarantees for Ukraine - Scholz

BERLIN. July 11 (Interfax) - The Group of Seven countries will draw up a declaration on security obligations for Ukraine during the post-conflict period, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz told journalists in Vilnius on Tuesday.

"The G7 countries are going to prepare a joint declaration, whose provisions will be implemented by various countries," Scholz said, adding that the guarantees would take effect after the Ukraine conflict ends.

Western media reported that Ukraine would conclude bilateral agreements with certain countries that would take on obligations to guarantee its security.
