SUEK CEO Basov steps down after a little over a year in post

MOSCOW. July 10 (Interfax) - The CEO of Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) Maxim Basov has resigned as of July 9 after having completed the company's adjustment to the new economic environment, the company said.

Under Basov's leadership, SUEK achieved record financial results and updated its strategy and team, the company said. The board of directors thanked Basov for his effective work and wished him success in his new projects, SUEK said.

SUEK deputy CEO Alexander Redkin, who has worked at SUEK since 2005, will replace Basov as CEO as of July 10, the company said.

Basov, we became head of SUEK in April 2022, was appointed CEO of Siberian Generating Company, a division of the SUEK Group, in February 2023. Basov was previously CEO of Rusagro from 2003 to the end of 2021, and has served on the agribusiness group's board of directors since 2011, becoming chairman in March 2022.
