Rostselmash almost completely switches to Russian components in 2023

KAZAN. July 7 (Interfax) - Rostselmash Combine Plant LLC has switched almost completely to Russian components this year, Rostselmash first deputy CEO Alexei Shveitsov said at a meeting of the State Council commission for agriculture that was held an agricultural exhibition in Kazan on Thursday.

"For engines, import substitution is now almost 100%," Shveitsov said, referring to engine suppliers "Yaroslavl Motor Plant, Kamaz, as well as our friendly partners."

The level of import substitution for parts and assemblies is 94%, he said. Furthermore, 57 reduction drives that were previously made by international European corporations have now been developed by Rostselmash partners and put into production.

"In terms of output, we're growing annually. In 2023 we put all 150 models of machinery back into production. In 2022 we had to suspend production of a number of models," Shveitsov said.

He said Rostselmash is working closely with truck maker Kamaz on supplies of engines and a number of other products.
