Iranian-Russian talks on gas hub proceeding well - Iranian oil minister

VIENNA. July 5 (Interfax) - Iran is conducting intensive negotiations with neighboring countries producing gas to set up a gas hub, Iranian Oil Industry Minister Javad Owji told journalists at the 8th OPEC International Seminar in Vienna.

"We are holding very good negotiations with Russia on a national gas hub in Iran. We have good gas reserves and infrastructure for it. And apart from us, our neighbors, [such as] Qatar or Turkmenistan, also have excellent potential in gas resources. These factors provide for a perfect opportunity to turn Iran into a regional gas hub," he said.
