State Oil Company of Azerbaijan and Tatneft discuss potential for cooperation

BAKU. July 5 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov and President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) Rovshan Najaf held a meeting in Baku on Wednesday with General Director of Tatneft Nail Maganov.

"Prospects for cooperation between SOCAR and Tatneft, projects implemented in the field of energy, and the possibility of exchanging experience were discussed," the Economy Ministry said in a statement.

The parties noted the extensive ties between the two countries in the energy sector and exchanged views on the potential for partnership development, the ministry said.
