Putin, Pashinyan discuss Nagorno-Karabakh, including transport communication via Lachin corridor - Kremlin
MOSCOW. July 5 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken by phone with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the Kremlin press service said on Wednesday.
Putin and Pashinyan "discussed the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, including guarantees of unimpeded transport communication via the Lachin corridor. They highlighted the fundamental importance of consistently implementing the entire range of the 2020-2022 agreements between the leaders of Russia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan," it said.
Putin reaffirmed Russia's willingness to continue to practically facilitate the drafting of an Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty, it said.
"The parties agreed to continue contacts at various levels," it said.
The phone call was arranged at the initiative of Armenia.
