Ukraine denounces trade and economic cooperation agreement with N. Korea

MOSCOW. July 5 (Interfax) - The Ukrainian government has terminated the Ukrainian-North Korean intergovernmental agreement on trade and economic cooperation.

The government made the decision at a meeting on Tuesday, Ukrainian media said with the reference to Ukrainian Government Representative in the Verkhovna Rada Taras Melnichuk.

The government explained its decision with North Korea's support for Russia.

The intergovernmental agreement with North Korea was signed in Kiev on June 15, 1993.
