Atyrau Oil Refinery production to fully resume production by week's end - KMG

ATYRAU. July 4 (Interfax) - Kazakhstan's Atyrau Oil Refinery will fully restore its production disrupted by an emergency shutdown caused by the power outage at Mangistau Atomic Energy Complex by the end of the week, KazMunayGas Deputy CEO Dauletzhan Khasanov said.

"As the supply of electricity from the external grid network stabilizes, the operation of plant's units will return back to normal. By the end of the week, the Atyrau Refinery plans to fully restore its previous levels of petrochemical production," Khasanov said at a government meeting on Tuesday.

The Atyrau refinery suspended operations on July 3 due to an accident at the Mangistau Atomic Energy Complex which generates and supplies thermal and power energy to the industrial facilities and the population in the region.
