Electric power restored to Atyrau Oil Refinery and CPC-K - Kazakhstan Energy Ministry

ASTANA. July 3 (Interfax) - The power supply has been restored to the Atyrau Oil Refinery and CPC-K, after it was interrupted due to an emergency shutdown of the power unit at the Mangistau Nuclear Power Plant, Shyngys Ilyasov, adviser to the head of the Ministry of Energy, said.

"Power has been delivered to the Atyrau Refinery, and they are gaining load. CPC-K has just been turned on, and they are starting to load," Ilyasov told reporters on Monday.

As reported, due to an accident at the Mangistau NPP Monday evening, the Atyrau Refinery and CPC-K pipeline were de-energized. Atyrau itself was also without power.
