Ukrainian Border Service updates border crossing statistics

MOSCOW. July 3 (Interfax) - The number of people who departed Ukraine between June 24 and 30 was about 1,000 more than the number of those who crossed into Ukraine, while it had been 36,000 more a week before, Ukrainian media reported with reference to the State Border Service social media post.

The number of people who departed Ukraine in this period increased to 337,000 from 326,000, and the number of those entering Ukraine increased to 336,000 from 290,000, the service said.

The number of vehicles that crossed Ukraine's western borders in this period grew to 139,000 from 136,000, while the number of vehicles cleared to carry humanitarian aid declined to 457 from 471.

According to the United Nations Refugee Agency, the number of Ukrainian refugees across the world was estimated at 6.342 million as of July 26, including 5.978 million in Europe.
