Zelensky meets Greta Thunberg, other members of int'l environmentalist group

MOSCOW. June 30 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has met with members of an international environmentalist working group, Ukrainian media have reported with reference to the presidential office.

Zelensky thanked the group's members. "I thank you for being here now. This is a very important message of support for Ukraine. We really need your professional assistance," he said.

Margot Wallstrom, the working group's co-chair, highlighted solidarity with and support of Ukraine.

Environmentalist Greta Thunberg thanked Zelensky for the invitation and said she would encourage members of environmentalist NGOs to engage in a dialogue on the working group's principal objectives.

The group includes Former Swedish Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Margot Wallstrom, Vice-President of the European Parliament Heidi Hautala, former Irish President (1990-1997) Mary Robinson, and environmental activist Greta Thunberg.
