EU leaders call for implementation of Black Sea Grain Initiative to be sped up

BRUSSELS. June 30 (Interfax) - Leaders of the European Union's member states have expressed concern about the slowdown in implementing the Black Sea Grain Initiative at their summit in Brussels.

"The European Council is deeply concerned by the continued slowdown in the implementation of the Black Sea Grain Initiative and calls for the swift and full resumption of its operations," the European Council said in a statement at the end of the summit's first day.

The EU leaders reiterated that, in their opinion, Russia was responsible for the slowdown.
