Shipments of goods as part of EAEU state procurement up seven times in one year - EEC

MINSK. June 29 (Interfax) - Mutual shipments of goods as part of public procurement in the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) increased more than seven times over the year, Bakhyt Sultanov, Minister for Competition and Antimonopoly Regulation of the Eurasian Economic Commission, said.

"The common public procurement market in the union is demonstrating annual growth. And over the past year, mutual shipments of goods as part of the public procurement process have increased over seven times to $4 billion," the EEC Minister said at the Fifth International "Export to the EAEU countries: the potential of interregional and border cooperation" Conference in Novosibirsk. Sultanov was quoted by the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission.

The total capacity of the public procurement market in the EAEU is estimated at $189.9 billion, Sultanov said. At the same time, he called on business in the EAEU countries to participate more actively in public procurement.
