Ukraine seeking to confiscate power distribution companies, hotels, steel plants from VS Energy group

MOSCOW. June 29 (Interfax) - Ukraine's Justice Ministry has filed a lawsuit with the country's High Anti-Corruption Court in order to impose a sanction by collecting assets from the VS Energy group, specifically against Alexander Babakov, Mikhail Voevodin, Yevgeny Giner and related individuals, Ukrainian media reported, citing Irina Bogatykh, head of the Justice Ministry's sanctions policy department.

"We are recovering the assets of Russians; the corporate rights in eight regional power distribution companies, six hotels, two metallurgical plants, a shopping center in the center of the capital [Kiev], and in another 31st legal entity," Bogatykh wrote on social media.

Bogatykh added that the lawsuit also concerns monetary funds totaling around $2.5 million.
