Gas Transport System Operator of Ukraine expects higher gas transportation from Europe to Ukraine in July

MOSCOW. June 28 (Interfax) - Gas Transport System Operator of Ukraine, or GTSOU, forecasts an increase in gas transportation volumes from Europe to Ukraine in July.

Ukrainian media quoted GTSOU as saying in a statement that more than 3.5 million cubic meters per day in four directions were booked for the third quarter at Ukrainian gas transmission system capacity auction, indicating a desire to transport at least 325 mcm to Ukraine in July-September.

In addition, Andrei Yefanov, head of the GTSOU auction platform support department, said more gas would be transported to Ukraine in July, as participants had booked capacity at monthly auctions and would be booking short-term products.

GTSOU capacity booked for July is 6.9 mcm per day.

The European Union's underground gas storage facilities were 76.16% full on June 26.

Ukraine has offered European partners the use of more than 10 billion cubic meters of its own underground storage capacity close to its western border. More than 100 routes are available to transport gas between the storage facilities and the European borders.
