Peskov says no decisions taken on repeated levying of windfall tax

MOSCOW. June 28 (Interfax) - The Russian government has not taken any decisions on the necessity of repeatedly levying the so-called windfall tax on entrepreneurs, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.

"No decisions have been taken on this matter," Peskov said, adding that, "I would recommend addressing the government or experts. There is not any discussion on the matter here."

Peskov's statements were in response to the question on how the Kremlin relates to the claims that the windfall tax could be levied several times if government authorities must cover a large budget deficit, and businesses discover momentary excess profits.
