King of Bahrain supports Russia's measures to maintain law and order in phone call with Putin - Kremlin

MOSCOW. June 28 (Interfax) - Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken with King of Bahrain Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa by phone, the Kremlin press service said on Wednesday.

"The king of Bahrain underlined the friendly nature of bilateral relations and voiced support for the measures taken by the Russian administration to maintain law, order and stability in the country," the press service said.

The phone call was initiated by the Bahraini side, it said.

"Several current issues [related to] the further development of mutually beneficial Russian-Bahraini cooperation were also addressed," it said.

Putin congratulated Hamad bin Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa and the people of Bahrain on Eid al-Adha, it said.

The sides agreed on further contacts, the press service said.
