Industrial output decline in Ukraine slows to 16.2% in Q1 - Statistics Service

MOSCOW. June 27 (Interfax) - Industrial output decline in Ukraine slowed to 16.2% in Q1 2023 from 36.9% in 2022, Ukrainian media quoted the State Statistics Service as saying.

Industrial output plummeted 40% year-on-year in January 2023 but the decline slowed to 28.2% in February, while industry grew 51.2% in March.

Output fell 23% in electricity, gas and steam utilities and 14.8% in each of manufacturing and mineral extraction in Q1.

It grew 90% in manufacturing and 31.7% in mineral extraction but fell 0.9% in utilities in March.
