Zelensky, Biden speak over phone

MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky spoke with United States President Joe Biden on Sunday.

"A positive and inspiring conversation," Ukrainian media quoted Zelensky's post on social media.

"I thanked the U.S. president for the unflagging support of Ukraine," Zelensky said.

"We discussed further expansion of defense cooperation, with an emphasis on long-range weapons," he said. "I am grateful for the readiness of the U.S. and the American people to stand side by side with Ukraine," Zelensky said.

"We coordinated our positions on the eve of the NATO Summit in Vilnius, discussed further work on the implementation of the Ukrainian Peace Formula and preparations for the Global Peace Summit," the Ukrainian leader said.
