MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - The tourism sector has not seen large-scale cancellations of tour bookings to southern Russian resorts due to the events of June 24, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said on Monday.

"There have been no recorded swings in prices for accommodations or internal flights. We set up a feedback mechanism with the regions and recommended maximum flexibility with no penalties for citizens who cancel tours. But there have been no large-scale cancellations, and the issues that did arise have been resolved on a case-by-case basis," the Deputy PM said at a meeting with other deputy PM's on guaranteeing the uninterrupted operations of their respective business sectors.

Due to the events of the 24th, the Economic Development Ministry has set up an operations center with tourism sector representatives in place, he said.
