EU ambassador recommends that Ukraine resume e-declarations for public officials

MOSCOW. June 26 (Interfax) - European Union Ambassador to Ukraine Matti Maasikas has advised Ukraine to resume e-declarations of assets for public officials after an interim assessment on the implementation of the European Commission's seven recommendations for starting accession talks with the EU.

"Over the last year, Ukraine's achievements on its EU path have been admirable. Now, let's focus on completing the few outstanding things by autumn. Some concern the political class as a whole, like restoration of the asset declarations - a good testcase for real commitment," Ukrainian media quoted Maasikas' post on social media.
