Bayramov briefs UNESCO officials on Azerbaijan-Armenia peace process

BAKU. June 26 (Interfax) - Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Chairperson of the Executive Board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Tamara Rastovac Siamashvili and UNESCO Assistant Director-General for Social and Human Sciences Gabriela Ramos discussed cooperation at a meeting on Sunday, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said.

"The parties exchanged views on topical issues on the agenda of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the UNESCO, the initiatives put forward by Azerbaijan, as well as on regional issues," the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Bayramov also briefed his interlocutors on the situation in the South Caucasus in the post-conflict period, reconstruction and construction work in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, the peace process between Azerbaijan and Armenia, as well as on a number of threats, including mines.
