Russia's status in FATF remains unchanged, membership still suspended

MOSCOW. June 23 (Interfax) - Russia's status in the Financial Action Task Force at the end of the plenary week remained unchanged, with membership in the group suspended, Rosfinmonitoring said.

The group's meetings were held from June 19-23 in Paris.

On February 24, the FATF suspended Russia's membership in the group. Rosfinmonitoring then stated that this does not entail any obligations or restrictions for financial institutions in Russia and abroad.

At the same time, Russia, as per statements made by the group, did not appear in either the FATF 'grey' or 'black' lists.
