EU imposes sanctions on 104 individuals, entities, including Deputy Defense Minister Shevtsova, governors, journalists - document

BRUSSELS. June 23 (Interfax) - Russian officials, journalists, businessmen, military commanders and companies associated with the defense industry have been placed under new restrictions by the European Union, according to a statement published in the Official Journal of the European Union on Friday.

In total, EU restrictions have been imposed on 71 individuals and 33 entities, among them Deputy Defense Minister Tatyana Shevtsova, Crimean Culture Minister Tatyana Manezhina, Voronezh Governor Alexander Gusev, Krasnodar Governor Veniamin Kondratyev, and Stavropol Governor Vladimir Vladimirov.

Restrictions also apply to Artyom Uss, businessman and son of former Krasnoyarsk Governor Alexander Uss, political analyst Sergei Karaganov, journalist and Channel One presenter Mikhail Leontyev, and Izvestia correspondent Viktor Sineok.

The sanctioned entities include PMC Wagner Center, Positive Technologies , Sverdlov Plant, and the Zvezda television channel.
