Ukraine thanks Germany for initiative to host next Recovery Conference in 2024

MOSCOW. June 22 (Interfax) - Ukrainian Prime Minister Denis Shmygal has thanked Germany for its initiative to host the next Ukraine Recovery Conference in Berlin in 2024.

"I am grateful to the German partners who have accepted this challenge," Shmygal was quoted by Ukrainian media as saying at a final session of the Ukraine Recovery Conference in London on Thursday.

For her part, German Federal Development Minister Svenja Schulze said the 2024 Conference would focus on involving all key stakeholders in the recovery process.

"It is important to emphasize that the people of Ukraine should lead the recovery, and those who are abroad and want to return home should be a part of this recovery," she said.
