Mishustin: Coordinating actions of Russia, Qatar on global gas market ensures balance of demand on world market

MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - Cooperation between Moscow and Doha helps to ensure a balance on the world gas market, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at talks with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani.

"Russia and Qatar have established a long-term strategic partnership in energy. The Qatar Investment Authority is Rosneft's largest shareholder. We work together in the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, headquartered in the Qatari capital of Doha," Mishustin said, naming the areas of cooperation.

"Coordinating actions on the global gas market ensures the balance of supply and demand at a level which suits both producers, and subsequently, consumers of natural gas," Mishustin said.
