Russia interested in increasing trade and economic cooperation with Qatar - Mishustin

MOSCOW. June 21 (Interfax) - Moscow sees Doha as its key partner in the Middle East and expects to further broaden the countries' bilateral cooperation, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at talks with Qatari Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani on Wednesday.

"Qatar is Russia's key partner in the Middle East. Our friendly relations are governed by the principles of mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests," Mishustin said.

"The Russian side is interested in enhancing trade and economic cooperation" with Qatar, he said.
